Send a booking link (let the candidate pick a time)

Instead of fixing a time yourself, send the candidate a booking link so they choose a slot from your interviewers' availability.

What it is

A booking link lets the candidate choose their own interview time from your interviewers' availability, instead of you picking a fixed slot. When they book, Binary creates the interview and the Google Calendar invite automatically. It's the self-scheduling alternative to fixing a time in Schedule an interview.

Steps

Open the candidate from the Responses page → Interviews tab → Schedule Interview.
At the top of the scheduling dialog, switch from Schedule now to Create booking link.
Add the interviewer(s) - the link is built from their availability (you'll see "Add an interviewer to create booking link" until you do).
Set the meeting details - the Title is prefilled the same way as a scheduled interview (defaults to "Interview with" your workspace name; edit it, or an admin can change the default under Settings → Workspace defaults → Interview name). Online adds a Google Meet link automatically, or choose a location; optionally add a description and the interviewer-only feedback link.
Click Create. The candidate gets a link to pick a slot; once they book, the interview and calendar invite are created for everyone.

Where availability comes from

The offered slots come from your interviewers' availability (set under Settings → Interviews → Availability) combined with their connected Google Calendars' free/busy.

Delete a booking link

While a link is still "Awaiting booking", hover its card in the Interviews tab and click Delete. Confirming stops the candidate from booking through that link - if they still need to schedule, send a new one. If a candidate opens a deleted link, they see "This booking link is no longer available."

Once a candidate books a slot, the booking link is replaced on the candidate's timeline by the interview it created - from there it's a regular scheduled interview (see Schedule an interview), and this delete option is gone with it.

Notes & limits

Google Calendar connected and a candidate email are required. Booking links count towards the Free plan's 5 interviews a month; Business is unlimited and Starter doesn't include them.
You must add at least one interviewer before a booking link can be created.
Once the candidate books, it behaves like any other interview (feedback, Show in calendar, etc.).
