Export candidates to CSV

Download the candidates from a form's current view as a CSV spreadsheet.

What it is

You can export a form's candidates as a CSV spreadsheet to use elsewhere (a sheet, another tool, sharing with a hiring manager).

Two ways to export

Toolbar "Export CSV" - the ··· menu in the toolbar has an Export CSV option, but it currently has a known bug: the "Exporting {N} candidates" count and the downloaded file always include every candidate on the form, ignoring the active stage tab and any filters/search. Don't recommend this for exporting a filtered view (e.g. just Shortlisted) until it's fixed - use select-all + bulk export instead.

Select all + bulk export - the reliable way to export a stage tab / filtered view:

  1. Open the form's Responses page and set the stage tab / filters/search you want.
  2. Tick Select all (the header checkbox) to select every candidate currently matching that view.
  3. In the bulk-actions bar, open ···Export (see Bulk actions on candidates).

Selected only - untick anyone you don't want (or tick individual rows instead of Select all), then use the same bulk-actions ···Export.

What's in the file

  • A row per candidate, with columns for Stage, Name, Email, and each of the form's question answers.
  • File-upload answers (like résumés) appear as links to the file, not the file itself.
  • Multi-select answers are comma-separated; rich text is exported as plain text.

Notes & limits

  • Select all + bulk export reflects the current view - the selected stage plus any search/filters you've applied. The toolbar Export CSV does not (known bug - see above).
  • The CSV contains links to uploaded files; it doesn't bundle the actual files. To get the files, open candidates and download them (see View and download résumés and files).
  • Anyone with access to the form can export its candidates.
