Facto (myfactoapp.com) builds software for Indian manufacturers—from production and inventory to orders, dispatch and reporting. We work directly with scaled up factory owners and their teams to understand their operations, then build software that helps them run their businesses better.

What you'll do:

-Most interns push code to a repo. You’ll push code to a running factory.

-Talk directly with factory owners, supervisors and users to understand their work, clarify requirements and investigate problems.

- Build and improve customer workflows using our existing application foundations and AI coding agents

- Demonstrate your work to customers, gather feedback and improve the solution based on what you learn

- Work with our product and engineering team to decide how the software should behave, including important exceptions

- Communicate progress, questions and blockers clearly to both customers and teammates
-High-impact coding meets real business execution. You'll see the whole journey - problem identification to production.

WHO THIS ISN’T FOR

• You’re looking for AI/ML model or agent deployment work. We use AI to build software, the platform and where features demand it.

• You want to code without talking to customers.

• You need fully defined tasks and aren’t interested in clarifying requirements.

• You can’t commit consistent time or follow through on your work.

You've shipped something: A side project, a tool, an app, a script that solved a real problem. Something you shipped, not just started.
You're curious about the business, not just the stack: You’re genuinely curious. You want to understand why a factory owner checks 40 excel sheets everyday, not just what tech stack to use.

You try realistic scenarios, notice when something is wrong and investigate instead of assuming the task is complete.

You understand the customer’s problem, ask useful questions and turn what you learn into working software.

Part 1: Show us something you’ve built. *
