What you'll build:
Design and implement the core market primitives on Base L2: conditional token markets using the Gnosis CTF standard. You'll own the split, merge, and redemption flows that underpin all trading.
Build and maintain the on-chain settlement layer: the CTF Exchange contract that executes atomic settlement from off-chain matched orders, smart contract wallet architecture for every user, and the relayer infrastructure for gasless trading.
Architect liquidity systems: AMM contracts (liquidity-sensitive LMSR) for long-tail markets, LP incentive mechanisms, liquidity mining reward distribution, and fee-sharing models for external market makers.
Own security, audits, and deployment workflows. Threat modeling, formal invariant verification where it matters, audit coordination, upgrade governance, and conservative rollout of new primitives.
What we're looking for:
Strong EVM development experience. You've shipped production contracts that hold real money. Gas optimization, reentrancy protection, and access control patterns are second nature to you.
Deep understanding of AMM design, liquidity provisioning mechanics, and DeFi primitives. You know how Uniswap, Balancer, or equivalent systems work under the hood, not just how to fork them.
Previous work on DeFi protocols, DEXs, or on-chain trading tools. Tier 1 DeFi experience is a big plus. Previous prediction market or conditional token experience (Polymarket, Gnosis CTF, UMA) is an even bigger plus.
Familiarity with smart contract wallet patterns (Gnosis Safe, EIP-4337 account abstraction), meta-transactions, and relayer architectures. Our entire user experience depends on gasless, non-custodial trading through smart contract wallets.
