Potpie is building an AI-native development platform for large and complex engineering teams. We help organizations make their software systems more understandable, debuggable, and operable by capturing engineering context across codebases, documentation, tickets, workflows, and infrastructure.
Our goal is to help teams move beyond fragmented tools and manual processes by creating a persistent engineering intelligence layer that supports AI agents across the software development lifecycle.
We are working on real enterprise problems where context, speed, reliability, and ownership matter deeply. As Potpie grows, hiring becomes a key part of building the team that will shape this next phase.
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Intern who is excited to learn hiring in a fast-moving startup environment.
This is not a passive coordination internship. You will work closely with the team to source candidates, screen profiles, manage hiring pipelines, coordinate interviews, and help create a strong candidate experience.
You will get hands-on exposure to how early-stage startups hire across engineering, product, AI, and business roles. You will learn how to understand roles deeply, identify the right talent, communicate with candidates, and support hiring decisions with speed and clarity.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about people, startups, talent, and how great teams are built.
As a Talent Acquisition Intern at Potpie, you will:
Source and identify potential candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, communities, and other hiring channels.
Work on active hiring requirements across technical and non-technical roles.
Screen resumes and evaluate candidates based on role requirements, experience, communication, and proof of work.
Conduct initial candidate outreach and help build strong candidate pipelines.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and internal teams.
Maintain and update recruitment trackers, hiring dashboards, and candidate databases.
Ensure smooth candidate communication across different stages of the hiring process.
Help improve job descriptions, outreach messages, and candidate-facing communication.
Support employer branding initiatives across LinkedIn, hiring platforms, campus communities, and talent networks.
Assist in campus outreach, referral drives, and hiring campaigns when needed.
Work closely with founders, hiring managers, and team members to understand what strong talent looks like for Potpie.
Strong communication skills and the ability to speak clearly with candidates.
Good written communication and attention to detail.
Interest in recruitment, talent acquisition, startups, and people operations.
Ability to stay organized while handling multiple candidates and roles at the same time.
Comfort working with tools like LinkedIn, job portals, spreadsheets, and recruitment trackers.
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.
Ability to follow up consistently and keep hiring processes moving.
Curiosity to understand different roles, especially in engineering, AI, product, and startup teams.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
A learning mindset and willingness to improve through feedback.
Available for a 6-month internship.
Able to work in a hybrid setup from our HSR Layout office in Bengaluru.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic familiarity with LinkedIn and job portals.
Good coordination, follow-up, and organizational abilities.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Ability to join immediately or as soon as possible.
Previous internship or experience in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, or people operations.
Candidates pursuing or holding an MBA, or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, will be given added consideration.
Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, Naukri, Instahyre, Wellfound, or similar platforms.
Understanding of startup hiring or technical hiring.
Comfort with spreadsheets, hiring trackers, and basic reporting.
Experience with campus outreach, communities, or student hiring initiatives.
Interest in employer branding, content, or candidate engagement.
Hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment.
Exposure to hiring for a fast-growing AI and developer tools startup.
Experience working directly with founders, hiring managers, and early team members.
Understanding of how startups evaluate talent beyond resumes and years of experience.
Practical experience in sourcing, screening, coordination, candidate communication, and hiring operations.
Mentorship from experienced professionals.
Competitive stipend throughout the internship period.
Opportunity for a full-time PPO based on performance, ownership, and business requirements.
Hiring is one of the most important functions at an early-stage company. The people who join Potpie now will directly shape the product, culture, and company we are building.
As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will not just observe hiring from the outside. You will be part of the process, working on real roles, real candidates, and real hiring decisions.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in talent acquisition, startup hiring or people operations.
