If you can make people watch a 20-minute video about money without checking Instagram halfway through, we should talk.
We’re looking for someone who loves a good story, understands what makes people tick, and knows their way around the world of finance.
Someone who knows that a great hook is only half the job, and keeping people hooked is where the real writing begins.
Write long-form YouTube scripts that people actually want to watch.
Find interesting stories, unexpected angles, and fresh ways to talk about money.
Obsess over hooks, pacing, storytelling, and retention. Basically, figure out how to make people stay till the end.
Work with the creative team to turn good ideas into great videos.
Make finance interesting without making it sound like a finance textbook.
A storyteller first. You know how to hook people, build a narrative, and deliver a satisfying payoff.
A student of retention. You understand hooks, open loops, pacing, curiosity gaps, and why viewers drop off. More importantly, you know how to use them.
Comfortable with finance. You follow the world of money, markets, investing, and personal finance. You don’t need to know everything, but you should be curious enough to figure it out.
A genuinely good writer. Your scripts sound human, your sentences have rhythm, and you know when to cut the fluff.
Curious by default. You ask questions, challenge assumptions, and aren’t satisfied with the first obvious angle.
Funny, at least occasionally. You come up with a pun so good that people hate themselves for laughing.
And if you’ve spent an unreasonable amount of time analyzing why a video went viral, we have a feeling you’ll fit right in.
Send us your resume and a few writing samples. YouTube scripts are great. Anything that shows us how you think and write works too.
We care more about how you tell a story than how fancy your resume looks.
