We’re hiring a Frontend Architect - WebAssembly & Bundling to build a browser-native execution environment that powers instant dev experiences—running dependencies, tooling, and applications entirely inside the browser with strong isolation and performance.

This is runtime and systems engineering under browser constraints. It’s not a typical frontend role and not a traditional OS role.

What You’ll Do

Implement a Node-like execution model (task orchestration, streaming I/O)
Optimize filesystem, tooling, and runtime performance using profiling and budgets
Design isolation boundaries, resource limits, and safe APIs
Ship production-grade runtime features that work reliably across browsers

Must-Have Requirements

WebAssembly/WASM experience (ABI boundaries, memory models, host interfaces)
Deep browser platform knowledge (Workers, messaging, storage, isolation)
Runtime engineering expertise (event loops, concurrency, streaming I/O)
Performance engineering discipline with real-world results
Security fundamentals for running untrusted code in-browser
Proven ability to ship complex, production systems
