At LoudLabs, editorial leadership is not about hierarchy or tenure.
It is about judgment under pressure.
We operate the digital news engine for India’s leading digital news channel, where attention is scarce, news cycles are brutal, and mistakes are public.
This role exists to answer one question, every day:
What is worth the internet’s attention right now, and how should it be told?
This is not a TV newsroom role adapted for digital.
This is platform-native editorial leadership.
You think in formats, not just stories
You can predict performance before publishing
You are comfortable killing “important” stories that nobody watches
You respect data without becoming enslaved to it
You can make fast calls and own the outcome
Own digital editorial strategy across platforms
Decide daily story priorities, formats, and angles
Work closely with anchors, writers, editors, social, and production
Balance speed, accuracy, and credibility under pressure
Track watch time, retention, CTR, and audience signals
Run postmortems on failures and scale what works
Build repeatable editorial systems, not one-off wins
You are not managing people.
You are shaping judgment.
Editorial decisions are clear and fast
Stories are framed for platforms, not recycled
Output stays high without chaos
Performance improves without compromising trust
The team knows why something worked or failed
If editorial success feels accidental, something is broken.
Editors nostalgic about print or TV workflows
Leaders uncomfortable being accountable to numbers
People who confuse authority with control
Anyone who needs long consensus cycles to decide
This role exposes weak judgment quickly.
Proven experience in a digital-first news environment
Hands-on ownership of YouTube and Instagram news output
Strong editorial instincts for internet audiences
Comfort working with analytics and performance dashboards
Years matter less than outcomes.
Ownership of one of India’s largest digital news operations
Real authority to shape editorial direction
Direct feedback from audience behavior
Growth based on impact, not tenure
A team that values clarity, speed, and accountability
