We are looking for a Medical / Healthcare Content Writer with demonstrated experience creating accurate, patient-facing content for hospital or healthcare brands.

This is a freelance/contract engagement. We need writers who have worked specifically in healthcare and can produce content that is clinically informed, clearly written, and appropriate for patient audiences. Generalist writers will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Research, write, and optimise content across hospital service pages, treatment and procedure descriptions, condition guides, patient education articles, and department or doctor profiles
Translate clinical and medical information into clear, accessible language without compromising accuracy
Ensure content is appropriate for patient-facing use: reassuring in tone, credible in substance, and free of misinformation
Work closely with our content and SEO teams on briefs, structure, and optimisation requirements
Follow brand and compliance guidelines relevant to healthcare content
Deliver content that balances readability, search intent, and medical accuracy
Incorporate feedback and revisions based on internal review and client inputs

Requirements (Must-Have)

Proven experience writing healthcare or medical content (mandatory)
A degree or background in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, life sciences, or allied health is strongly preferred
Prior work with hospitals, health-tech platforms, pharmaceutical brands, or health publications
Strong research and fact-checking skills for clinical and regulated topics
Familiarity with patient-facing content tone: clear, trustworthy, and accessible
