Western Ghats · North of Goa
We’re a mission-driven startup studio (read more here) that builds impact-oriented startups to better the mind, body, and the earth. We work with founders as their institutional co-founder until their venture becomes a self-sufficient organization ready to scale.
We are not just advisors, mentors, investors, incubators, or accelerators—we bring all of these roles together! We are always co-building with founders, creatively and conscientiously, through the power of communities.
The Startup Eco Ashram is build3’s nature-first living ecosystem in the Western Ghats. It brings together founders, creators, builders, volunteers, residents, and nature lovers to live, work, learn, and contribute as a community.
As build3’s Eco Ashram Community Manager (HR), your mission will be to build a welcoming, engaging, and well-organized community while developing the people systems and culture that help our team and founders thrive.
You will own both the community experience and the coordination behind it—from activities, gatherings, and visitor stays to hiring, onboarding, performance, talent development, compliance, and HR operations. Working closely with employees, leadership, founders, volunteers, and residents, you will combine thoughtful people partnership with hands-on execution.
This can be achieved through -
Designing and maintaining a thoughtful weekly and monthly calendar of community activities that encourage connection, learning, wellbeing, and contribution, including community circles, shared meals, farm experiences, nature walks, skill-sharing sessions, and celebrations.
Managing activities from idea to execution, including gathering suggestions, confirming facilitators, arranging spaces and materials, coordinating volunteers and vendors, managing budgets, and communicating with participants.
Coordinating the complete visitor journey, including pre-arrival communication, accommodation allocation, welcoming and orientation, check-out, and feedback.
Helping visitors and residents understand the Eco Ashram’s values, routines, shared responsibilities, and ways of participating, while keeping everyone informed through calendars, announcements, welcome material, and community communication channels.
Building repeatable systems, standard operating procedures, checklists, and signage for community activities and stay-related processes.
Being an approachable community presence, encouraging participation, responding constructively to interpersonal challenges, and maintaining clear boundaries and confidentiality.
Supporting recruitment and onboarding by defining hiring needs, participating in interviews, evaluating candidate assignments, issuing offer letters, and maintaining complete employee documentation.
Supporting startup founders from our community with end-to-end hiring for critical roles, including interns, Founder’s Office team members, and co-founders.
Using AI-based recruitment and interviewing tools thoughtfully to improve the speed and quality of sourcing, screening, and shortlisting while ensuring that human judgement remains central to hiring decisions.
Driving performance and talent-management processes, including goal setting, monthly, mid-year, and annual reviews, mutual-feedback sessions, probation reviews, career-development conversations, and succession planning.
Leading the planning and coordination of quarterly strategy meets, including agendas, documentation, action items, and follow-through.
