What you'll do:
Design and build the core order engine: sequencer, risk engine, matching engine, and settlement layer. This is hybrid-decentralized: off-chain matching with on-chain settlement via Base L2.
Build and operate APIs and services for market creation, order books, account systems, and real-time WebSocket feeds (order status, trades, book updates) with low latency and high throughput.
Own the settlement pipeline: batched on-chain settlement, state reconciliation between off-chain matching state and on-chain truth, and failure recovery from snapshots + event replay.
Build risk systems: balance validation, rate limiting and position limits
Work with data, infra, and AI pipelines that create, monitor, and resolve markets in real time. Build monitoring and observability that lets us investigate anything within minutes.
Help define our technical architecture and engineering standards as we scale across regions.
What we're looking for:
You've built order engines, matching engines, or systems that closely simulate trading infrastructure. This is very important
Strong background in low-latency, high-throughput backend systems. You understand state management and deterministic event processing
Crypto/blockchain experience is preferred. Familiarity with EVM chains, smart contract interaction patterns, conditional tokens, or on-chain settlement flows.
You've worked at places like crypto exchanges, trading desks at banks, HFT firms, or fintech companies building real-time transaction systems.
