The next decade is a chance to work on some of the hardest problems which once solved, create exponential economic value in society.
Our maximalist version of this is to bring autonomy in all forms of work bottlenecked by physical labour.
This is a multi-disciplinary problem requiring work across software, robotics, machine learning, operations and a mindset to get off cushioned desks to engineer physical systems.
We’re looking for high conviction, delusional, polymathic engineers who want to lead this work as part of our founding team.
We're hiring for two roles. A few prerequisites and details for the same:
Build systems that make robots integrate and work safely in industrial environments
Hands-on experience with robot controls, navigation, sensor fusion and debugging physical systems (ROS 2, robot SDKs or equivalent).
Experience creating digital twins and simulating robotic workcells, including robot and environment assets, sensor modelling and physics setup.
Strong software engineering to write code for reliable robot execution, machine interfaces, teleoperation and recovery systems (Python/C++, Linux; logging and debugging across hardware and software).
Good to have
Experience deploying and commissioning robots in operating factories or warehouses.
Experience integrating robotics with existing PLC-controlled equipment and SCADA systems (for example, machine handshakes, interlocks and status exchange using OPC UA or Modbus TCP).
Train and build continual learning and evaluation systems that drive last mile reliability in real world robot deployments
Experience building robot learning systems that combine imitation learning with offline and online RL to improve reliability. Comfortable designing rewards, collecting rollouts and diagnosing why a policy fails to learn or generalise.
Strong understanding of RNNs, LSTMs and transformers, and how to adapt them for perception and action. Research rigour to evaluate ideas through clear hypotheses, baselines and ablations before taking them into production.
Ability to build data, training and evaluation pipelines for demonstrations and rollouts, and measure policy performance across task variations (success rate, cycle time and human interventions).
Good to have
Experience learning and deploying manipulation, locomotion or combined loco-manipulation policies on humanoid embodiments in production environments.
Experience scaling and optimising training and inference workloads in production environments (multi-GPU training, GPU profiling, data throughput and inference latency).
