What is this role, really?

At GrowthX, our marketing strategy is built on two core principles — discovery & trust. Content is at the core of it. We are looking for a bar-raiser YT content writer who will work in a team that will grow our monthly shortform content engine from 5 million → 10 million int he next 6 months.
This role is part of our YouTube pod that is obsessed about building India’s largest business focused channel in the country (English & Hindi). You will work with absolutely high bar creative writers, visual designers, editors & production crew.

Where can this role evolve, really?

Initially, you will build and scale the YouTube shortform content. But, eventually will transition to owning and creating multiple IPs. Today we only have the english channel. We want to build more IPs plus go more languages (think Hindi) which could take us to a completely different horizon. You will be at the center point of this journey.

What you’ll be doing?

Obsess about the business world. You will breakdown business insights across D2C, consumer, software & AI. You will be required to do the best research of your life.
Then translate that research into shortform scripts. This will require you to crack video formats & master hook + retention based writing.
You will work with a video editor to bring these ideas to life. Understand the metrics through YouTube dashboard & iterate every single week.
You will part of our marketing team — video editors, writers, strategists & designers. You will get to participate in team brainstorming meetings where we decide IPs, topics, structure & formats for all content (video/ text) that we produce at GrowthX.

What are requisites of this role?

Atleast 2 years of YouTube/ Instagram writing experience.
Deeply understands YT analytics (especially retention metrics).
Have worked in a creator, media company before is a huge plus.
Is able to go from topic selection → research → writing → storyboarding.
Great at working with a video editor & do faster feedback cycles.
