We’re hiring a Frontend Architect to own the frontend architecture behind a complex, high-performance product. This is a hands-on role where you set technical direction while actively building—balancing long-term architecture with day-to-day execution.

What You’ll Do

Define and evolve frontend architecture: module boundaries, state/data flow, rendering strategy, extensibility
Lead technical direction through RFCs and architecture reviews
Own frontend performance across large documents, long sessions, and memory usage
Establish standards for testing, CI quality gates, observability, and release reliability
Partner closely with Design, Product, and Backend on key tradeoffs
Mentor engineers and raise the frontend bar across the org

Must-Have Requirements

10–12+ years building large-scale web apps, including 3–5+ years owning frontend architecture
Deep expertise in React and TypeScript for complex, high-performance UIs
Experience building large editors or complex UI systems (canvas, multi-pane layouts, timelines, heavy lists)
Strong state architecture experience (Recoil, Zustand, Jotai, Redux, or similar)
Proven track record of performance optimization in real-world conditions
Experience partnering on API design and distributed systems tradeoffs
Ownership of frontend architecture, build tooling, testing strategy, and observability at scale
