About the role

Carnot Technologies (Mahindra Group) is hiring a Software Engineer (Backend & Data) in Mumbai. We run a telematics backend serving 2 lac+ tractors and 100M+ data points a day, and we're now building the next layer on top — satellite intelligence for agriculture, AI tools for operations, and analytics on everything we collect. You'll start on our Smart Harvesting Solution, turning messy satellite, weather, and farm data into real predictions, then grow into other data pipelines, backend, or internal tooling as you find your rhythm. Small team, no job-title politics, real ownership from week one.

What we're looking for

4+ years of production experience (excluding internships)
strong Python and comfort wrangling messy real-world data
familiarity with PostgreSQL, S3/GCS, Django/FastAPI or similar
working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Bonus points for geospatial or remote-sensing work and comfort with AI coding tools.
