As a DOP at OWLED, you will be responsible for owning the visual language of a project—right from pre-production planning to on-set execution and coordination with the post-production team. You'll work on branded content, ads, social campaigns, founder-led IPs, and experimental formats, bringing visual clarity, cinematic flair, and technical excellence to every frame.
Collaborate with directors, creative leads, producers, and clients to understand the visual tone and brand narrative.
Lead the visual planning of shoots including lighting setups, framing, mood boards, and camera movements.
Manage and direct camera teams, gaffers, grips, and other technical crew.
Select and manage camera gear, lenses, rigs, lighting setups, and other equipment based on creative needs.
Conduct recce and pre-production meetings to lock down visual approach and location-specific challenges.
Ensure smooth and efficient on-set execution, maintaining both technical quality and creative intent.
Collaborate with editors and colorists post-shoot to retain visual continuity and elevate final output.
Maintain a high standard of cinematography aligned with evolving digital and cinematic trends.
1–3 years of experience as a DOP or Cinematographer in branded content, advertising, digital media, or films.
Strong reel/portfolio showcasing a range of visual styles, lighting setups, and storytelling formats.
Deep understanding of camera systems (Sony, Canon, RED, Blackmagic, etc.), lighting setups, and lensing.
Strong technical knowledge of frame rates, resolution, codecs, and color spaces.
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced shoot environments and adapt quickly to creative pivots.
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with directors, producers, talent, and crew.
Experience shooting for YouTube IPs, podcast-style shows, founder-led brands,Ad Films or social content.
Strong knowledge of Bangalore's locations, neighbourhoods, cafes, studios, and shoot-friendly spaces.
Experience independently scouting and recommending locations based on creative briefs.
Familiarity with local production logistics, permissions, and on-ground coordination.
Understanding of production design, art direction, and set lighting for digital content.
Experience working with motion-controlled rigs or virtual production environments.
Basic post-production knowledge (color grading, LUTs, shot matching).
