About the role

Build backend systems that support durable, scalable storage and cloud-facing infrastructure.
Work on storage-oriented services and APIs with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and fault tolerance.
Help shape technical direction across storage interfaces, data movement, service design, and high-availability architecture.
Collaborate closely with the team on hard backend and infrastructure problems from design through production operations.

Responsibilities

Build and improve backend services for cloud storage or distributed data infrastructure in Go, Rust, or C++.
Design for consistency, availability, resilience, and operational simplicity across multi-node systems.
Work with interfaces and protocols such as S3-compatible object storage, backend APIs, and storage-control layers.
Debug real production issues involving failures, recovery paths, scaling behavior, and performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

Strong experience building or operating backend systems for cloud infrastructure or storage-heavy products.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, storage-system tradeoffs, and production reliability.
Comfort working close to the system, with strong engineering judgment around performance and maintainability.
