What you’ll do
Own the payments infrastructure powering Triplespeed’s consumer products, from architecture and integrations to reliability and optimization.
Build and maintain integrations with payment processors, gateways, wallets, and other payment providers.
Improve payment success rates by identifying and eliminating sources of declines, failed transactions, checkout drop-off, and payment friction.
Own payment lifecycle flows including authorization, capture, refunds, retries, disputes, failed payments, and reconciliation.
Design reliable, scalable payment systems that can support rapidly growing transaction volumes across multiple consumer brands.
Build systems that handle provider outages, API failures, retries, webhooks, duplicate transactions, and other payment edge cases safely.
Help expand our payments infrastructure across different countries, currencies, payment methods, and regulatory environments.
Build monitoring, observability, and reporting to understand payment performance and quickly identify revenue-impacting issues.
Investigate payment failures from first principles, identify the root cause, ship the fix, and measure its impact.
Work closely with product, growth, finance, and external payment partners to improve payment conversion and economics.
Use transaction data, logs, analytics, and production signals to continuously improve payment performance.
Become the primary technical owner for payments across Triplespeed as the function scales.
Who we’re looking for
Strong software engineering experience with a track record of building and shipping production systems.
Deep hands-on experience building or working with payments or payment infrastructure.
Experience integrating payment processors, gateways, wallets, or payment APIs.
Strong understanding of payment flows including authorization, capture, refunds, retries, webhooks, disputes, and reconciliation.
Experience diagnosing payment failures and improving payment success or authorization rates.
Strong backend engineering skills and experience building reliable APIs and distributed systems.
Experience working with transaction data, logs, monitoring, and analytics to diagnose complex production issues.
Strong understanding of security, reliability, and correctness requirements for financial transactions.
Experience working across multiple payment providers, markets, currencies, or payment methods is a strong advantage.
Strong ownership and the ability to take a problem from diagnosis → solution → implementation → measurement.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with product, growth, finance, and business teams.
Comfortable working 5 days a week from our Bangalore office.
Useful but not required
Experience working with Stripe, Adyen, Checkout.com, PayPal, Braintree, Razorpay, or similar payment providers.
Experience with subscription billing, recurring payments, payment orchestration, or payment routing.
Experience with international payments and multiple currencies.
Experience with fraud detection, 3DS, chargebacks, or payment risk systems and building payment reconciliation and settlement systems.
Experience with payment analytics, authorization-rate optimization, or checkout optimization.
Experience working with high-volume consumer products or marketplaces.
Experience building systems where financial correctness and idempotency are critical.
