We work with India’s leading digital news channel, where every visual competes with infinite scroll, breaking news, and shrinking attention spans across YouTube and Instagram.

This role is not limited to thumbnails.

It covers the entire visual layer of digital news.

If you design only for aesthetics or only for one platform, this role will frustrate you.

What You’ll Actually Do

Design YouTube thumbnails that earn clicks without misleading
Create Instagram graphics for:
- Reels covers
- Feed posts
- Carousels
- Stories
Translate breaking news into fast, clear visual formats
Build visual systems that scale across daily news output
Work closely with editors and social teams on packaging
Create multiple design variants and iterate based on performance
Maintain visual consistency without slowing speed

You are not designing posters.

You are designing attention under pressure.

What “Good” Looks Like Here

Thumbnails are legible in one glance on mobile
Instagram posts are shared, not just liked
Visuals explain the story even without captions
Design adapts to platform behavior, not the other way around
CTR, saves, and shares improve over time

If your design decisions cannot be explained, they won’t survive here.

Who Should Not Apply

Designers who only want to do “branding” work
Designers who dislike iteration and feedback
People who design one visual and move on
Anyone uncomfortable with performance metrics

This role exposes weak instincts quickly.

Skill Reality

Strong command over Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent tools
Clear understanding of YouTube and Instagram design mechanics
Ability to design fast without losing clarity
Experience with digital-first content

Motion skills are a plus.

Judgment is mandatory.
