This is not a coaching role, and no chess background is required.
This is a systems, execution, and problem-solving role for someone who wants real ownership of how a growing coaching business runs.
Lead management and conversion: Ensure every inquiry is contacted promptly through the right channel, tracked, and followed up on until resolved.
Direct lead engagement (early phase): Personally handle lead conversations and demo-to-enrollment conversations in the initial months while volume is still building.
Coach coordination: Manage scheduling, communication, and onboarding across online and offline coaches.
Systems and reporting: Build and maintain simple, reliable tracking across leads, conversions, follow-ups, and retention, and drive a regular reporting rhythm.
Vendor and tool management: Coordinate with freelancers and agencies and hold them accountable to real numbers.
Troubleshooting: Dig into platform access issues, tool malfunctions, and vendor problems to find practical workarounds.
Day-to-day problem solving: Act as the first point of contact for operational issues so they do not all need the founder’s attention.
2–5+ years managing operations, admissions, or a team at a coaching institute, tuition chain, school, or similar service business.
A track record of genuine ownership, with the ability to explain a specific process improved or problem solved with real details.
Comfort with direct sales conversations, including talking to parents or students, handling pricing objections, and converting interest into enrollment.
Resourcefulness under ambiguity and the ability to find a workaround when the obvious path is blocked.
Comfort with basic tools such as WhatsApp Business, Google Sheets, and Excel, plus willingness to learn CRM and scheduling tools.
Proactive reporting and strong communication with parents, students, and coaches.
Nagpur or Maharashtra-based candidates are preferred, though strong remote candidates are welcome.
A working, self-sustaining lead follow-up system with nothing falling through the cracks.
A weekly reporting rhythm that is driven consistently without needing reminders.
At least one clear example of independently solving an operational problem without hand-holding.
Send your resume along with a short note on a process, team, or specific problem you handled in a previous role, with real details.
Share an example of a time you had to solve something without a clear playbook and how you approached it.
Reference checks will be part of the process.
