Renting in India can be a nightmare. Think about it: visiting countless houses, arguing over rent, losing money to brokers, sticking to 11-month contracts, and spending lakhs of rupees into furnishing. It's a lot, and honestly, we deserve better.
This is where Flent comes in. We're creating a new standard of urban renting for India.
Imagine walking into a home that feels like it’s straight out of a lifestyle magazine - fully furnished, beautifully staged, all you need to bring is your clothes and your vibe. No need to persuade landlords, no dealing with brokers, and no 11-month lock-ins. It’s not just a vision; it’s what we believe the top 1% in India truly deserves.
We started Flent because we were fed up. Trying to find a decent place in the city was a nightmare. But beyond the frustration was a deep-seated passion for home decor and an eye for detail that we couldn't ignore. Numbers revealed that ~$10 Bn is spent annually on urban renting — and that was the tipping point. It convinced us of the potential to craft the future of renting, designed for those who demand more and compromise less.
Flent is backed by top-tier VCs and angels. Since our inception in Jan’24, we’ve launched 110+ homes in Bangalore, went viral on X more than we imagined, and crossed $1,000,000 in annual GMV.
Hi, I’m Mohosin, and I lead Product Ops at Flent. My side of the house covers everything from inspecting and scoping homes to lining up vendors, moving materials, and fixing whatever goes sideways on-ground.
Setting up and running homes here has taught me one thing the hard way: good design and furniture get you eyeballs. Good functionality gets you customers who stay.
I think of this job like a doctor’s. Every home is a patient. You diagnose what’s wrong, fix it properly, and make sure it doesn’t fall sick again. Anyone who’s actually maintained homes at scale knows how much skill that takes.
I’m looking for someone who gets that this isn’t checkbox ops. It’s knowing the homes we take on better than the people who built them. If you handle chaos calmly, think from first principles, and find a way when there isn’t one, keep reading.
As an Ops Associate (Setup & Fixtures), you own the transformation of a raw house into a functional Flent home. The moment a home is assigned to you, it’s yours. You document its condition, scope the work, line up vendors, get materials on site, hold the budget, and hand over a finished home on schedule.
You’ll also run the two engines that keep everything else moving. The vendor network: onboarding partners, arranging training, and holding everyone to the Flent standard. The material inventory: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, cleaning supplies. You track what we have, what we’re using, and what to buy next, so no setup ever stalls waiting on a hinge.
You’ll work closely with the setup and design teams and me, with end-to-end ownership from first walkthrough to final handover. This is a field role in Bengaluru. Most of your days happen inside homes, not at a desk.
Own the end-to-end setup of homes
Every transformation, from planning and vendor allocation to execution and final handover. Multiple homes in parallel. Every one delivered completely, on time.
Run vendor operations
Build, manage, and grow the vendor network. Onboard new partners, run training, and raise the bar on every job.
Solve problems on-ground
Be the fixer on site. Layout mismatches, missing deliveries, surprise defects. You keep the setup moving and make the call when things don’t go to plan.
Manage inventory and budget
Track material availability, usage, and spend across every category, with full financial accountability.
Hold quality and build process
Hold the handover standard without exceptions. Spot the gaps. Build systems that make the next setup faster and cleaner than the last.
Walking homes to assess readiness and plan the setup
Documenting fixtures, flagging issues, and writing work scopes a vendor can act on without calling you twice
Running multiple setups in parallel without dropping any of them
Keeping project trackers, vendor tasks, spend logs, and inventory movement current
Checking in with vendors and solving on-site issues with the design team
Final QC: testing every switch, tap, lock, and appliance before a home is declared 100% functional, spotless, and handover-ready
Has 1-3 years of hands-on, ops-heavy work: field execution, project coordination, construction, or vendor management (home services, rentals, co-living, or hospitality ops are a big win)
Stays calm and keeps moving when things aren’t clear
Thinks in systems: you break problems down and build processes others can follow
Takes full ownership. No waiting for instructions, no passing the buck
Communicates clearly and confidently, especially with vendors (Kannada and/or Hindi fluency helps a lot)
Is comfortable in spreadsheets and project trackers (we live in them)
Can manage and track inventory across multiple categories
Is curious, quick to learn, and wired to solve problems
Believes a functional home isn’t a checklist. It’s a standard you set

We don’t follow a one-size-fits-all hiring process at Flent. Each role comes with its own way of evaluating what “great” looks like, and we shape the process accordingly.
For this role, the process will likely include a few conversations with the hiring manager and the co-founders, giving us a chance to understand how you think, what you care about, and how you approach your craft. Along the way, we may also share a short, time-bound assignment to see how you translate ideas into execution.
At every step, we’re looking beyond just output. We’re paying attention to your curiosity, your judgment, and the way you engage with ideas and people. That’s what helps us figure out if there’s a strong fit on both sides.
Given the volume of applications, we’re only able to reach out when we’d like to move forward. Once we do, we aim to keep the process tight and complete it within 7 to 14 days.
