As an Assistant Manager – KAM, you will be responsible for managing and enabling a team of Key Account Managers handling emerging D2C brands. The role demands strong operational ownership, problem-solving ability, and people management skills to ensure smooth day-to-day execution across website operations, inventory, marketing, shipping, and account management.

You will act as the backbone for the KAM team — helping them solve merchant issues, improve execution quality, and drive business growth across portfolios. The role combines team leadership, operational excellence, stakeholder coordination, and analytical decision-making in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

Lead and manage a team of Key Account Managers, ensuring smooth execution of daily operations across merchant accounts.
Drive operational excellence by identifying bottlenecks, resolving escalations, and improving team efficiency across website management, inventory, shipping, marketing, and seller operations.
Monitor merchant performance metrics, team productivity, and business KPIs to ensure portfolio growth and retention.
Prepare business reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for leadership reviews and strategic discussions.
Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams such as operations, design, marketing, product, and support to resolve merchant challenges and improve outcomes.
Mentor, guide, and train KAMs on process improvements, communication, merchant handling, and problem-solving capabilities.
Support high-priority merchant escalations and ensure timely resolution for business-critical issues.
Build scalable operational processes and workflows to improve execution quality and team productivity.
Drive accountability within the team through structured reporting, reviews, and performance tracking.

Experience & Background:
- 3–6 years of experience in E-commerce / D2C / Marketplace Operations / Business Operations / Startup Ecosystem.
- Prior experience managing teams in high-growth startup or operational environments is highly preferred.
- Exposure to merchant management, account operations, logistics, shipping, or e-commerce enablement businesses will be an added advantage.
- Graduation / Post Graduation from a reputed institution.
