OWLED Media is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage our day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide actionable insights into our financial health.
You will work closely with leadership to maintain accurate books, analyze financial data, and drive operational efficiency through your command over financial tools like Tally ERP 9, Zoho Books, and advanced Excel. 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts using Tally ERP 9 and Zoho Books.
Reconcile ledgers, prepare trial balances, and ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Prepare financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Taxation & Compliance
Handle GST filings, TDS, income tax returns, and other statutory compliances.
Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely submission of reports and audits.
Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and financial regulations.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the creation of annual budgets, cash flow planning, and financial forecasting.
Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
Oversee vendor and client payment cycles, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
Manage reconciliations of payables/receivables and resolve discrepancies proactively.
5. Data Analysis & Financial Strategy Support
Use advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Power Query, etc.) for financial modeling and reporting.
Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision-making.
Provide recommendations on process improvements and cost control.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
Additional certification or coursework in finance or accounting is a plus.
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role.
Prior experience in handling compliance and taxation independently is required.
Skills
Proficient in Tally ERP 9, Zoho Books, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization).
Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluent in Hindi and English, with strong written and spoken communication.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Experience working in a media or creative agency environment.
Familiarity with other accounting tools or ERP systems.
Exposure to payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
