We are seeking a Legal and Compliance Advisor to guide the legal, regulatory, and governance framework of Resilient Privacy, a cybersecurity and privacy technology startup building enterprise security platforms and solutions. This role will help ensure the company operates in full alignment with applicable cybersecurity laws, data protection regulations, technology compliance requirements, and corporate governance standards across the markets where we operate.
You will work closely with the executive, product, engineering, and operations teams to provide strategic legal counsel on product development, enterprise contracts, regulatory obligations, and operational risk management. Responsibilities include advising on technology regulations, privacy and cybersecurity laws, intellectual property protection, vendor and customer agreements, and startup corporate structuring.
The role also involves helping the company navigate local and international legal frameworks, including data protection laws, cybersecurity compliance standards, employment regulations, and enterprise contractual obligations that impact technology companies operating in regulated environments.
This position offers the opportunity to shape the legal and compliance foundation of a fast-growing cybersecurity startup, ensuring Resilient Privacy scales responsibly while meeting the legal, regulatory, and governance expectations of enterprise customers and global markets.
Develop and implement legal and regulatory strategies that support the growth, operations, and global expansion of Resilient Privacy.
Lead regulatory compliance initiatives across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring company operations and technology platforms align with evolving data protection, cybersecurity, and technology regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks).
Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise contracts, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and technology licensing arrangements.
Establish and maintain internal compliance frameworks, governance policies, and operational procedures to support secure and compliant business operations.
Support risk assessments, regulatory audits, and certification preparation including standards relevant to enterprise technology companies such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Monitor global regulatory developments in cybersecurity, data protection, and technology law, advising leadership on potential business impact and required actions.
Provide guidance on intellectual property strategy, including protection of company technology, trademarks, and licensing considerations.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure security-by-design and compliance considerations are incorporated into product development and operations.
Support corporate legal operations, including governance matters, employment law considerations, and general legal risk management for a growing startup.
Degree with 3-7 years of experience in privacy law, technology law, or regulatory compliance, OR exceptional law students/recent graduates with strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in privacy and technology law.
Deep expertise or strong academic foundation in global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, emerging privacy laws) and technology compliance frameworks.
Experience with or coursework in B2B SaaS legal operations, enterprise contract negotiations, and technology licensing agreements.
Strong background in or academic focus on regulatory compliance management and privacy law principles.
Experience with or understanding of corporate law, intellectual property management, and strategic legal planning for technology companies.
Proven track record of building legal frameworks and compliance programs OR demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex legal concepts in practical business settings.
Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to translate legal requirements into practical business solutions.
Strong leadership and communication skills for working with executive teams and cross-functional stakeholders

This internship requires a full-time, 4-month commitment and may be structured as in-person or remote, depending on team alignment and project needs. While the role is unpaid, interns gain direct exposure to the financial operations of a high-growth cybersecurity startup and participate in real business initiatives that influence company strategy.
Interns are provided hands-on mentorship from leadership, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to financial processes, reporting frameworks, and operational decision-making. This program is designed for individuals who want practical startup experience, ownership of real workstreams, and exposure to building a venture-scale technology company from the ground up.
