BaseThesis is an AI Lab building the next generation of human-machine interfaces. This isn’t typical internship work - you’ll be doing the kind of research that usually happens at DeepMind or OpenAI, but with the speed and focus of a startup.
We're not a research lab. We're not a typical startup. We're something weirder.
BaseThesis is where breakthrough AI research meets venture-scale ambition.
We build things that shouldn't exist yet - voice AI that breathes, video agents that understand awkward silence, interfaces that make keyboards, typing or scrolling obsolete.
Then we spin them into companies.
In the next 18 months, we'll birth 5-7 companies. Each will redefine how humans and machines interact.
Duration: 3-6 months (extendable if you're building something insane)
Location: Bangalore (Indiranagar) - in-person ONLY. Why? Because breakthrough collaboration doesn't happen over Slack
Compensation: ₹XX K/month stipend

Build with proven founders who’ve scaled before
PLUS: If your project spawns a company → Founding team equity (2-5%)
PLUS: If you publish → First author credit + conference travel
PLUS: Unlimited compute (we're not stingy with GPUs or any services)
You won't be fixing bugs or building CRUD apps. You'll own ONE impossible problem. Examples:
"Make AI video calls feel more human than human video calls"
"Build voice AI that handles 5 people talking simultaneously"
"Create an AI that learns your personality from 10 minutes of conversation"
"Design interfaces that work without screens"
You'll have 3 months to either:
Prove it's possible (and build a product around it)
Prove it's impossible (and save us 6 months)
Both outcomes are victories.
