Rekise Marine is building autonomous ships and submarines that operate in the world's most hostile environments. We're executing India's flagship autonomous submarine project — the Jalkapi XLAUV — on order from the Indian Navy. This is an unmanned submarine weighing over 20 tons that can travel 5,000+ kilometers autonomously and operate in the ocean for 30+ days at a time.
We're creating some of the largest autonomous robots in the world, machines with direct impact on the global economy and national security. While autonomous cars in India may still be a dream, autonomous ships and submarines are already a reality, and it is possible to build for the world from India.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own the Command & Control (C2) and GUI across Rekise's platforms — the system through which operators monitor, navigate, and command our autonomous vessels. The C2 product is an evolving, greenfield system, so you will help shape it from an early stage rather than inherit a mature product.
This is a dual role spanning product ownership and technical program management, weighted towards product. You will work with a cross-functional fully contained team of 5–10 for design, frontend, and backend engineering.
In this role, you will:
Own the C2 product end-to-end — requirements, specifications, user flows, and user experience.
Run the technical program management for C2, supported and guided by our Program Management Office.
Work closely with our design, engineering, robotics, and operations teams to turn complex operational needs into a clear, well defined and intuitive product.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the system that commands real-world autonomous platforms operating in some of the most challenging environments
Own the product vision and roadmap for the C2 GUI system across Rekise’s platforms, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience.
Own the end-to-end design of the C2, including elements such as the user GUI, user workflows, role-based access, and permission models.
Define & document product requirements (PRDs), specifications, user flows, and acceptance criteria, translating operational needs from the user into clear deliverables for the engineering team.
Engage intended users through interviews/interactions, translating findings into product requirements and UX decisions.
Direct & guide the design and frontend teams — working closely with designers and the full-stack engineering team to take features from concept to delivery.
Drive UX and product decisions grounded in how operators actually monitor, navigate, and command autonomous vessels.
Run the technical program management for C2 — planning, sequencing, tracking, and unblocking delivery — in close coordination with and under the guidance of the Program Management Office.
Manage cross-functional dependencies across product, design, engineering, robotics, and operations to keep the roadmap on schedule.
Maintain clear visibility of progress, risks, and open points, and communicate status to leadership.
3–5 years of product management experience, preferably on GUI for products.
Demonstrated ability to write clear PRDs, specifications, and user flows, and to think product problems through end-to-end
Experience working closely with design and engineering teams to ship user-facing software
Strong grasp of UI/UX principles, with the ability to direct design without necessarily executing it hands-on
Experience with, or a strong understanding of, the design of user-facing systems, including aspects such as user access and permissions
Sufficient technical fluency to engage credibly with front-end and software development teams
Ability to run technical program management — planning, tracking, and unblocking delivery across teams
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Background in deep-tech, robotics, defence, maritime, or hardware-software products.
Exposure to real-time systems, telemetry, or operator-facing control interfaces.
Own the System That Commands Autonomy: You will own the system through which operators command autonomous vessels across a range of applications — from our flagship Jalkapi XLAUV, a 20-ton submarine travelling 5,000+ kilometres underwater, to platforms operating from the coast to the deep sea. Few product roles let you shape something this consequential.
Mission Impact: The Command & Control system is the command surface for autonomous vessels on live missions — including defence and security operations of national importance. Every flow you define and every permission you design directly shapes how operators make decisions in the field.
End-to-End Ownership: You will own both the product and its delivery — from requirements and UX through to program execution — across Rekise’s platforms.
Cross-Disciplinary Work: Work at the intersection of product, design, AI, robotics, and operations. Few product roles let you work this closely with the systems your product commands.
Growth: As we scale, your role grows from owning one product to shaping product practice across the organisation.
Benefits: Compensation benchmarked to top-quartile for the role, health insurance for you and your family and other benefits.
