Ethereal Labs is hiring a Founding AI Engineer to build Productions by TokiToki, our AI-first production engine for creating high-quality video content faster, cheaper, and at scale.

What we are looking for

We are hiring someone who has worked on real production AI systems, not just API integrations or demos.

You should have hands-on experience with at least a few of the following:

•⁠ ⁠Production LLM systems used by real users or internal teams

•⁠ ⁠Multimodal pipelines across text, image, video, and audio

•⁠ ⁠Evaluation pipelines for AI outputs, especially subjective outputs like video quality, consistency, character identity, motion, and prompt adherence

•⁠ ⁠Hosting, serving, or fine-tuning custom/open-source models

•⁠ ⁠Inference infra, GPU deployment, batching, queues, retries, monitoring, and cost control

•⁠ ⁠Video systems at scale, including generation, processing, storage, rendering, delivery, or review workflows

•⁠ ⁠Model orchestration across multiple APIs or self-hosted models

•⁠ ⁠Backend systems that can handle messy, unreliable model behavior in production

This is not a role for someone who has only connected a frontend to GPT APIs.

We need someone who can build the AI production stack underneath high-quality video creation: model routing, evaluation, retries, human review, consistency checks, cost tracking, and scalable infrastructure.

You should be comfortable taking a vague creative request like “make this scene cinematic” and turning it into a structured, testable, production-ready AI workflow.
