At ResultFlow.ai, we build AI that helps ecommerce stores convert more of their visitors into customers. Merchants add our JavaScript plugin to their site, and our AI runs experiments and personalises their pages automatically, carrying learnings from one store to the next.
We are a small, fast-moving team that makes decisions with data and ships quickly. We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer: someone at the start of their career who learns fast, thinks clearly, and wants to build across the whole stack rather than in one narrow corner.
Most entry-level roles put you on one small piece of a large system. Here, because we are small and our product spans a lot of ground, you will be exposed to far more, far sooner: the browser and frontend, backend APIs, databases, data pipelines, deployment, and the AI systems at the core of what we do.
You will be given real work, real ownership, and people who will help you get good.
We care much more about how you think and how fast you learn than about how much you already know.
You have built something end to end, and put it live. This matters to us more than anything else on this list. Not a tutorial you followed, but something you designed, built, and actually deployed somewhere people could reach it. We want to see that you can take an idea all the way to running software.
Strong fundamentals. Data structures, algorithms, and complexity, and the ability to reason about them rather than recite them.
Comfort writing code. Any language is fine. Most of our backend is Python, but if you are strong elsewhere and can pick Python up, that works.
The basics of how the web works: what happens when a page loads, what an API is, and how data is stored and queried.
Genuine curiosity. You ask why things work the way they do, and you dig until you understand.
A questioning, data-driven mind. You reach for evidence rather than assumption, and you are comfortable being wrong.
Clear communication. You can explain what you built and why you built it that way.
Deployment experience on AWS or a similar cloud platform.
Any exposure to databases, data work, or building with AI and LLM APIs.
Open source contributions, internships, or side projects you took further than you had to.
Nobody expects you to arrive knowing these. Over your first year you will work with and learn:
Frontend and the browser: how pages render, and how our plugin runs on other people's sites.
Backend and APIs: designing and building APIs, authentication, and integrating third-party services.
Databases and SQL: schema design, writing real queries, indexes, and why a query is slow.
Data: pipelines, warehouses, and treating data as something to be trusted only after you have checked it.
Deployment and infrastructure: getting software running reliably in production.
AI and LLMs: building with LLM APIs, and the judgment of where they belong in a system.
Statistics and experimentation: how we tell whether a change actually worked, and why a higher number is not automatically better.
System design: how the pieces fit together, and what breaks as things grow.
You will use AI coding tools. We use them ourselves, and we expect you to use them well. The one firm rule is that you understand and can explain everything you ship.
We judge the work, not the person, and everyone from the newest joiner up is treated the same way.
We value people who take ownership, ask when they are stuck, and follow through.
Our hiring is work-first. You will complete a practical task and then talk it through with us in depth, so we can see how you actually think and build, rather than how well you interview. We share the technical interview topics with candidates in advance.
