Associate Manager (Rapido)

Job Summary

The Associate Manager – Operations plays a critical role in supporting the Regional Manager in managing day-to-day operational activities within the assigned city/cluster.

This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and execution capabilities to:

• Drive operational efficiency

• Improve supply-demand balance

• Implement on-ground strategies

• Ensure ROI on initiatives

• Maintain high customer (and captain) satisfaction

The position demands hands-on execution, process optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Implementation

• Design and optimize operational processes

• Launch and implement city-level operational strategies

• Continuously collect feedback and refine processes

• Analyze data to improve utilization, pricing, and growth

2. Supply & Demand Management

• Analyze demand-supply dynamics

• Generate adequate supply to meet market demand

• Ensure optimal driver productivity

3. Growth & Marketing Execution

• Plan and execute BTL (Below The Line) marketing initiatives

• Drive new supply and demand acquisition

4. Performance & Innovation

• Strategize projects to enhance city performance

• Continuously innovate operational workflows

• Drive measurable impact and ROI

5. Competitive Intelligence

• Track competitor movements in the market

• Understand their strategies

• Develop counter-strategies to retain supply base

6. Voice of Customer (VOC)

• Gather on-ground feedback from Captains and Customers

• Relay insights to central/strategy teams

• Ensure actionable follow-through

7. People Management

• Manage Business Operations teams

• Ensure best practices in project implementation

• Handle blue-collar workforce effectively

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Operations, Category Management, or Process Excellence (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Startup mindset – proactive, innovative, ownership-driven

• Hustler attitude – solution-oriented with execution focus

• Experience managing teams, including blue-collar employees

• Ability to work within strict timelines and budgets

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of local language and geography
