About the Role
We are hiring a Lead Robotics Software Engineer for a fast-growing, venture-backed startup revolutionizing the construction industry with AI-driven robotics. This role offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge robotic software that enables autonomous systems to operate in dynamic, real-world construction environments.
As the technical lead, you will design and implement advanced robot manipulation and control algorithms, motion planning systems, and navigation capabilities—playing a pivotal role in shaping scalable, production-grade robotics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop robust, general-purpose robotic manipulation modules.
Design and implement real-time control systems and manipulation algorithms using ROS2.
Build behavior trees and autonomous decision-making frameworks.
Integrate perception, motion planning, and control systems for full-stack autonomous robot operation.
Lead the development of navigation and control algorithms.
Set up and maintain simulation environments (e.g., Isaac Sim) for rapid prototyping and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, AI, and product teams to scale robotics solutions into the real world.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
5–10 years of experience in robotics, manipulation systems, localization, control systems, and navigation.
Strong background in motion planning algorithms for 6DOF manipulators.
Proficiency in ROS2, MoveIt2 (manipulation), and Nav2 (navigation).
Experience working with simulation environments such as Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
Strong coding skills in Python and C++.
Demonstrated ability to lead in a high-paced startup environment.
