At LoudLabs, we partner with India’s leading digital news channel to build, scale, and operate their digital video ecosystem.
Editing here is not a support function.
It is where news either earns attention or disappears.
We are looking for news-first digital video editors who understand that audiences do not automatically care about the news. Your edit decides whether they stay.
If you believe editing is just assembling clips, this role will frustrate you.
You instinctively fight for the first 5 seconds
You can feel weak pacing before analytics confirms it
You rewatch viral news videos to study structure, not effects
You cut aggressively and defend your choices with clarity
You care more about retention than compliments
Edit high-impact digital news videos for YouTube
Turn raw reporting into tight, watchable narratives
Fix weak scripts through structure and pacing
Decide what stays, what goes, and what gets reordered
Build tension and clarity without sensationalising facts
Work closely with anchors, writers, and editors
Own the performance of your edits, not just delivery
You will not be given step-by-step instructions.
You are expected to think.
Viewers stay longer than intended
Drop-offs happen late, not early
The edit holds even when footage is average
The story works with and without sound
Data confirms what your instincts predicted
If you cannot explain why a video worked or failed, you are guessing.
Editors who wait to be told what to cut
Editors who hide behind “that’s how the script was”
Editors who prioritise aesthetics over clarity
Editors uncomfortable with feedback or accountability
This role exposes habits quickly.
Strong command over Adobe Premiere Pro. / FCP
Clear understanding of pacing, rhythm, and sound
Experience editing digital-first news or documentary content
After Effects helps. Judgment is non-negotiable.
Your work reaches millions every month
Feedback driven by real audience behaviour
Freedom to experiment and iterate
Growth based on output, not tenure
Direct exposure to how India’s biggest digital news operation actually works
If you need detailed instructions to make an edit engaging, LoudLabs is not for you.
If you believe the edit creates the story, not just supports it, you will thrive here.
