The role, in one line: Own end-to-end supply chain execution — POs, vendors, inventory movement and payments — while bringing sound technical knowledge of packaging materials, so the right product lands in the warehouse on time, every time, with a clean audit trail in BizeeBuy (or equivalent SCM tool).
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
1. Procurement & Purchase Orders
● Raise and manage POs against the demand plan — right quantity, price, delivery date, every time.
● Track vendor acknowledgment on the system; chase and close amendments without letting anything sit.
2. Vendor & Supplier Management
● Be the primary point of contact for existing vendors — orders, documents, day-to-day issues.
● Keep vendor master data current: lead time, MOQ, pricing, COA, composition statement.
● Source, evaluate and onboard new vendors as sourcing needs grow.
3. Packaging Material Knowledge & Specification
● Evaluate packaging material specifications — barrier properties, compatibility, shelf-life impact — for new and existing SKUs.
● Work with packaging vendors on material grade, print specifications, and regulatory compliance (FSSAI, BIS, Legal Metrology).
● Flag packaging-related quality, cost, or compliance issues before they hit production runs.
4. Inventory & Logistics Coordination
● Coordinate inward shipments with Warehouse & QA — GRNs, quality holds, batch traceability.
● Track stock position against the demand plan; flag shortages or excess early.
5. Invoicing & Payments
● Run the full cycle — proforma invoices, PO/GRN matching, payment follow-up with Accounts.
● Own the vendor ledger and payment tracking sheet; share UTRs post-payment.
6. Quality & Compliance Documentation
● Ensure COA, composition statements, and packaging material spec sheets are in hand before material reaches the warehouse.
● Maintain clean, traceable documentation for every batch, every vendor.
7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
● Own the weekly MIS — PO status, pending payments, pending GRNs — shared without being asked.
● Flag process gaps early and suggest fixes rather than just reporting problems.
WHAT YOU BRING
● Bachelor's degree / diploma in Supply Chain, Packaging Technology, or a related field — candidates from Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) or similar specialized packaging/SCM institutes preferred; 1–2 years' relevant experience.
● Theoretical grounding in packaging materials — barrier properties, material grades, testing standards, and compliance norms (FSSAI/BIS/Legal Metrology).
● Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets and systems; exposure to BizeeBuy or a similar SCM/ERP tool is a strong plus.
● Strong follow-through — this role lives and dies on nothing falling through the cracks.
● Clear, professional communication with vendors and internal teams alike.
● Comfortable operating in a fast-moving D2C / FMCG-style environment.
