Role summary
Own the technical performance and growth of a high-velocity D2C Shopify store. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts site speed, conversion rate, tracking accuracy, and revenue.
What you’ll do
Build & optimize the storefront
Customize themes and build landing pages (Liquid, JS, HTML, CSS)
Improve UX and site speed (Core Web Vitals, <2s load time)
Debug issues: broken links, checkout friction, performance bottlenecks
Manage integrations & tracking
Implement and troubleshoot apps (Recharge, Yotpo, Klaviyo, Judge.me, WebEngage, etc.)
Ensure correct tracking for Meta/Google Ads + GA4 (pixels, events, conversion accuracy)
Support analytics with clean funnel/event instrumentation
Drive conversion & experimentation
Partner with growth/design to run A/B tests on PDP, cart, checkout
Use GA4/Hotjar/Shopify analytics to ship improvements that move CVR and reduce drop-offs
Implement SEO basics + schema/structured data
Maintain reliability
Keep the store stable, secure, and scalable (documentation, clean codebase, incident response)
Success metrics
Speed: Core Web Vitals green; <2s load
CVR: consistent MoM improvement
Cart abandonment: QoQ reduction
Uptime: 99.9%
Tracking: error-free pixels/events/integrations
What you bring
Must-have
2–4 years hands-on Shopify development (themes, Liquid, integrations)
Strong front-end skills (JS/HTML/CSS)
Experience with Shopify app ecosystem + troubleshooting
Solid understanding of GA4 + Meta/Google pixels and event tracking
Ownership mindset: can run tasks end-to-end without heavy supervision
Good to have
Headless Shopify / custom APIs
Advanced performance tuning, SEO/schema
Prior D2C/e-commerce scaling experience
