We’re looking for a sharp, internet-native content writer who understands Reddit culture beyond surface-level memes and trends. Your role will involve creating authentic, discussion-driven Reddit content for brands across multiple industries, while ensuring posts blend naturally into communities and conversations.
This is not traditional copywriting.
If your writing feels like an ad, Reddit users will instantly reject it.
Write organic-style Reddit posts, comments, replies, discussion starters, and engagement threads
Research subreddits, audience behavior, posting patterns, and community tone
Create content that feels native to specific communities, not promotional
Develop storytelling angles that subtly position brands within conversations
Handle multiple brand voices across industries including consumer apps, tech, lifestyle, dating, D2C, SaaS, and entertainment
Brainstorm viral, controversial, relatable, or discussion-worthy post ideas
Monitor post performance and iterate based on engagement patterns
Coordinate with strategy and operations teams for campaign execution
Stay updated with Reddit trends, slang, internet culture, and platform behavior
Excellent written English with strong conversational writing skills
Deep understanding of Reddit culture, humor, etiquette, and community psychology
Ability to mimic different tones naturally across subreddits
Strong research skills and curiosity about online communities
Ability to write content that feels human, authentic, and non-corporate
Understanding of what gets downvoted vs what sparks engagement
Familiarity with Reddit formatting, karma systems, flairs, and subreddit rules
Ability to think creatively under minimal direction
Have managed or actively used Reddit for years
Understand meme culture and internet discourse deeply
Have experience in community-led marketing or organic social media
Know how to identify high-potential subreddits for campaigns
Can write emotionally intelligent or highly relatable content
Have worked on anonymous/social identity based content before
This role is heavily dependent on understanding human behavior online.
