Zingle AI Research Lab is a San Francisco based deep-tech startup building an AI-native platform for modern analytics teams. We are backed by Accel and Nexus, two of the world’s leading data and enterprise investors.

Our team includes AI PhDs, researchers, senior technologists, and serial entrepreneurs. We’re looking for a Founding AI Engineer who wants to build real AI systems from scratch and make a long-term mark in tech.

This is a builder role. You will work on AI agents, LLM systems, core algorithms, and production software, not demos or wrappers.

Responsibilities:

Build complex scalable and distributed backend systems
Build scalable AI agents and production-grade LLM systems
Fine-tune and experiment with LLMs; stay hands-on with what works in GenAI and what’s next
Read research papers and translate ideas into working systems and algorithms
Develop new AI / NLP algorithms where needed
Build end-to-end software products, not just models
Learn and implement LLM Ops: prompt management, evaluations, monitoring, iterations

Requirements:

Exceptionally strong software engineering and coding skills
High learning velocity; ability to pick up AI and LLM systems quickly
No prior AI experience required - curiosity and execution matter more
Strong interest in building deep-tech products, not just research prototypes
2 - 5 years of work experience
