Core-team role · Typically 7–10 years’ experience · Remote-first · Salary + equity opportunity
Own customer-facing product and delivery at Facto - from understanding how a factory works to getting useful software into daily use. As a core-team member, you’ll work with the founders to set priorities, develop the team’s judgment and improve how we deliver. You should be able to build with AI agents when useful and occasionally lead qualified sales meetings. Dedicated BD and engineering teams handle ongoing sales coordination and implementation.
Facto builds factory operations software for Indian manufacturers: production and job tracking, inventory, orders, dispatch, invoicing, reporting and related business workflows. We work directly with owners, supervisors and operational teams to understand what happens on the floor and turn that understanding into software people use.
We are a bootstrapped company with live customers and a small team. Customer work combines substantial new development with shared platform foundations and emerging industry patterns. You will help us make better product decisions and deliver reliably as the business grows.

We’re looking for a senior core-team member to own and improve customer discovery, product decisions and delivery, while developing the team.
Complex discovery and solution design. Understand how factories actually operate, reconcile conflicting accounts and define workflows, business rules, data relationships, user experiences and consequential exceptions.
Product priorities across customers. Decide what should happen first within agreed strategy, commitments and capacity. Recommend where customer-specific work is justified and where investment in a shared capability will create lasting value.
Portfolio delivery. Own priorities, dependencies, customer expectations and functional acceptance across the agreed portfolio. Surface risks early and establish whether delivered software is being adopted successfully.
Contribute to Facto's DNA. Establish practical discovery, handoff, planning, review and adoption practices that make work visible and allow routine decisions to move within the team.
People and capability. Coach engineers and future product/delivery colleagues, delegate more complete problems, identify capability gaps and help recruit the next team members. Build coverage so account knowledge does not live with one person.
Selected sales meetings. Use the background prepared by BD to lead qualified discovery and demonstrations, explain Facto's value, handle concerns and work toward the customer's commitment. BD owns qualification, follow-ups and pipeline coordination.
AI-assisted building. Personally direct agents to create a prototype or working feature when close workflow or UX judgment is needed. Inspect, test and iterate on the result, then give engineers clear context and remaining work.
Most of your time will go into discovery, product decisions, reviewing outcomes and leading the function. Choose specifications, process maps, sketches, prototypes or direct building according to the uncertainty and the engineer's readiness. You do not need to build every feature before handing it over.
You will make routine product, scope-sequencing and delivery decisions within an agreed mandate and available resources. You will be an active partner in key decisions and discussions made by the Founders. Engineering review and release responsibilities will be assigned explicitly to people with the necessary competence.
As engineers develop, they should increasingly own moderately complex discovery and solutions. Your success includes making others more capable and freeing yourself to address the harder problems.
The role is remote-first. Occasional, one-off factory visits may be needed for discovery, with travel expenses covered by Facto. Regular factory travel is not expected.
Typically 7–10 years of relevant experience across product, engineering, customer-facing software delivery or a combination of these, with evidence of owning substantial B2B software work through real adoption.
Repeated experience turning ambiguous operational problems into coherent software, including situations where the initial customer request was incomplete or misleading.
Strong systems thinking and product/UX judgment: you reason about states, relationships, inputs, exceptions and how people actually use the application.
Leadership beyond personal execution: you have improved a team's way of working, coached people into greater independence and made difficult priority or capacity decisions.
Technical fluency and demonstrated ability to build with AI coding agents. You can explain your decisions, check the output and recognise when additional engineering expertise is needed.
Commercial judgment and clear customer communication. You can explain value, disagree constructively, handle objections and ask for a commitment. A previous sales title is not required.
Clear written communication for a remote team and confidence conducting business conversations in Hindi and English.
Comfort working in a small company, staying close to details and challenging founders with evidence while following through on agreed decisions.
Manufacturing or other operational B2B software experience is valuable. An engineering background can help, but a particular degree or career path is not required. We will assess what you have owned and improved, including the independence you created in other people.
This hire is intended to help shape Facto over the long term. Equity participation is on the table alongside salary, with the package, grant and terms agreed transparently during the offer process. You will have meaningful influence over how the product and delivery function develops; the mandate will be explicit.
