About the Role

GenC's Creative Director is not a brand manager. Not a content calendar owner. Not a "make it look good" person.

You are the person who decides what GenC stands for in public — what we make, why we make it, and how every piece of content connects to a larger creative vision. You will build GenC's content IP from the ground up: the shows, the formats, the social presence, the stage presence — everything that makes someone say "that's GenC."

You will succeed in this role if you think in formats and IP, not just posts and videos. If you obsess over why some content builds audiences and some doesn't. If you understand that at ₹5L a seat, the brand has to earn its price before the sales team ever gets on a call.

If your idea of creative direction is building a content calendar and briefing designers — this isn't the role. You need more.

What You'll Achieve

Own GenC's creative identity
- Define and evolve the visual, tonal, and editorial identity across all platforms
- Ensure every content touchpoint — social, long-form, events, community — feels like the same brand
- Build a creative language that attracts ambitious creators and signals premium quality
Build content IP that compounds
- Develop original show formats and recurring content IP for GenC's social channels
- Think beyond individual pieces — build formats that have legs, characters, and audiences of their own
- Own the full creative loop from concept to published output
Lead and elevate the creative team
- Brief, direct, and give feedback to editors, writers, designers, and on-screen talent
- Build a taste-led creative culture — one where the bar is always being raised
- Work directly with founders to align creative output with business goals
Use AI as a production multiplier
- Integrate Gen AI tools into the creative workflow — ideation, scripting, production, iteration
- Stay deeply curious about how AI is reshaping content creation and creator education
- You don't need to be technical, but you should be genuinely excited about what's possible

Skills You'll Need to Bring

3–5 years of experience in content creation, creative direction, or brand building — with a portfolio that shows range and taste
Demonstrated ability to build content IP — not just execute briefs, but conceive formats from scratch
Deep understanding of the creator economy — you consume it, you analyse it, you have opinions about it
Strong directing instinct — you can give feedback that makes work better, not just different
Comfort working at the intersection of creativity and business — you understand that great content has to serve a strategic goal

Nice to Haves

Experience building content for premium or aspirational brands
Familiarity with short-form and long-form video as primary formats
Your own creative practice — a channel, a newsletter, a body of work you're proud of
