We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and improve the systems that power our product. This role is a strong fit for someone who has worked on backend systems at meaningful scale, can make sound architecture decisions, and enjoys balancing speed, reliability, and maintainability.
Own backend services and APIs that support core product experiences.
Design systems that are reliable, observable, and easy to evolve over time.
Partner with product and engineering teammates to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
Raise the bar on code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
Build and maintain backend services, data flows, and integrations.
Lead system design discussions and make thoughtful trade-offs across performance, cost, and complexity.
Improve scalability, resilience, and developer experience across the backend stack.
Debug production issues and help strengthen monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
Mentor other engineers through reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
Strong experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
Strong system design skills, including service boundaries, data modeling, APIs, and distributed systems trade-offs.
Experience improving reliability, performance, and maintainability in production systems.
Comfort owning projects end to end, from design through rollout and iteration.
Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical teammates.
