The Casting Agent is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and coordinating talent for branded content, advertisements, social media campaigns, YouTube productions, and other digital content initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the right talent is identified quickly while balancing quality, availability, timelines, and budget.
Beyond traditional casting, the role requires proactively sourcing creators, influencers, and non-professional talent through platforms like Instagram and other social media channels. The ideal candidate has excellent networking skills, understands digital content trends, and can build a strong talent pipeline for diverse production requirements.
Source and identify suitable talent for advertisements, branded campaigns, YouTube videos, social media content, and other productions.
Build and maintain a diverse database of actors, creators, influencers, models, and non-traditional talent.
Understand creative briefs and recommend talent aligned with the brand, audience, and campaign objectives.
Shortlist, coordinate, and present casting options within agreed timelines.
Proactively identify potential talent on Instagram and other social media platforms.
Reach out to creators, influencers, subject matter experts, and non-traditional talent through direct messages and professional communication.
Build relationships with emerging creators and maintain an active talent network.
Track outreach, responses, negotiations, and follow-ups to ensure efficient talent acquisition.
Schedule auditions, callbacks, interviews, and availability checks where required.
Coordinate with production teams, Creative Strategists, Account Managers, and clients throughout the casting process.
Manage talent confirmations, documentation, contracts, and shoot schedules.
Ensure smooth communication between talent and internal teams before, during, and after production.
Negotiate talent fees while ensuring cost-effective casting solutions.
Maintain relationships with casting agencies, talent managers, and creator communities.
Ensure casting decisions align with project budgets without compromising talent quality.
Track talent costs and maintain casting records for future projects.
Maintain an updated talent database with profiles, portfolios, contact details, rates, and availability.
Document casting progress, approvals, negotiations, and final selections.
Ensure compliance with production timelines and casting requirements.
Prepare casting reports and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Stay updated on creator trends, influencer ecosystems, entertainment talent, and emerging digital personalities.
Attend industry events, networking sessions, and talent showcases where relevant.
Continuously expand the organization's talent pool to meet evolving creative needs.
Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Media, Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5+ years of experience in casting, talent management, influencer marketing, production coordination, or artist management.
Experience working with production houses, creative agencies, media companies, talent agencies, or creator ecosystems is preferred.
Existing network within the creator, influencer, or entertainment industry is an advantage.
Strong talent scouting and evaluation abilities.
Excellent understanding of digital creators, influencers, and entertainment talent.
Ability to assess talent suitability based on creative briefs.
