Most HR programs teach you theory. We'll hand you a real company to help build - from the inside.
Resilient Privacy is an early-stage cybersecurity startup, and we're growing fast. We're looking for an HR intern who's currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field - someone who wants to see what HR actually looks like when you're building a team from the ground up, not maintaining one that's already 10,000 people. Here, you'll have real influence, real exposure, and a real story to tell when you graduate.
▸ Lead talent sourcing and outreach for open internship and full-time roles across engineering, design, and business
▸ Draft and refine job descriptions, offer letters, and onboarding documentation
▸ Build and manage our intern onboarding workflow - you'll help shape the experience for every person who joins after you
▸ Maintain HR records, track intern progress, and support performance documentation
▸ Research compensation benchmarks, equity structures, and HR compliance requirements for early-stage startups
▸ Assist with culture-building initiatives, internal communications, and team engagement
▸ Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related discipline
▸ Eager to apply what you're learning in class to real decisions that affect real people
▸ Organized, discreet, and trustworthy - HR work involves sensitive information and you treat it that way
▸ A natural communicator who can write a professional email and run a structured conversation
▸ Someone who wants to understand what building a people-first startup culture looks like from day one
▸ How to recruit effectively with no brand recognition and a limited budget - a skill that transfers everywhere
▸ The legal and operational structure of early-stage HR: offer letters, contractor agreements, equity basics, compliance
▸ How to design onboarding from scratch - not inherit a process, build one
▸ What great culture actually requires at an early-stage company vs. what looks good on a slide deck
▸ Direct exposure to founder-level decision-making on team structure, hiring strategy, and organizational design
▸ A portfolio of real HR artifacts - job descriptions, onboarding frameworks, offer templates - that you built and own
▸ A letter of recommendation from the CEO, written with specific detail about your contributions
▸ A professional network inside an active cybersecurity startup ecosystem
▸ Academic credit eligibility - we'll support documentation for any program that requires it
▸ Priority consideration for a paid HR or operations role as we grow and fundraise
▸ This internship is unpaid - we're early-stage and we'll be upfront about that
▸ What we offer instead: real ownership, real mentorship, and a front-row seat to company-building
▸ Flexible hours - we care about output, not clock-in times
▸ Fully remote with optional in-person sessions in Dallas
This is not a role where you'll watch someone else do HR. You'll be doing it - learning by building, not by observing.
