We are building the engineering team that will scale this from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of concurrent traders.
Why This Role Exists:
We're building our charting engine from zero. Native WebGL2. Sub-millisecond candle rendering at any timeframe. 100+ indicators computed on the fly. 50+ drawing tools. Multi-chart layouts. And an AI canvas layer that lets our models overlay pattern detection, support/resistance, anomaly flags, and annotations directly on the same surface as the price data. This role owns that engine.
AI-Charts Engine: Native charting system built ground-up in WebGL2 (or SciChart.js if the tradeoffs line up).
Indicator Library: 100+ technical indicators computed in real time. Optimized math running in Web Workers so the main thread never blocks.
Drawing Tools: 50+ drawing primitives - trend lines, Fibonacci, Elliott Wave, annotations, zones.
AI Canvas Overlay: pattern detection, automated S/R, volume anomalies, earnings overlays. Build the rendering system that lets them paint on the chart in real time, without stalling the price feed.
Performance: Sub-100ms rendering at production scale. GPU-accelerated. No dropped frames during market hours
4–8 years in frontend or graphics engineering, with production-scale WebGL/WebGL2 or Canvas2D experience.
3+ years at a startup - you've shipped under pressure and owned outcomes.
High-performance JavaScript and TypeScript fluency.
Web Workers - you know how to offload computation without the coordination overhead eating your gains.
Working knowledge of financial chart types - candlestick, Heikin-Ashi, Renko and the data structures behind them (OHLCV, tick data, time-series aggregation).
Rust + WASM compilation for compute-heavy paths
SciChart.js or direct experience with commercial charting SDKs
SVG overlay systems composited over Canvas/WebGL
GPU-accelerated rendering, shader programming
Experience with TradingView, Highcharts Stock, or similar platforms at scale
You've either built a custom charting system before or reverse-engineered one and believed you could do it better.
